Ever since Blake Lively announced that she was pregnant, we haven't stopped swooning over her new maternitywear wardrobe. While her red carpet looks have been super-glam, we're more interested in seeing how she keeps her baby bump warm during the colder months whilst also staying stylish.

The answer? Well this week, it was a cape. Just like the rest of the fash pack, Blake has got on board with the blanket cape trend, stepping out in a cosy-looking red and black number, which she teamed with sone super-tight black skinny jeans and ruches suede heeled boots.

The actress, who's channelled her efforts into her new lifestyle website Preserve of late, looked oh-so chic as she ran errands in New York – we reckon pregnancy certainly suits Ms Lively. Meanwhile it has been reported that the couple want the sex of their baby to remain a surprise, and will not be choosing to find out whether they will be having a boy or girl.

Benedict Cumberbatch recently proposed to his girlfriend, theatre producer Sophie Hunter, and he couldn't have done it in a more Benedict Cumberbatch-y way.

Maintaing his image both on- and off-screen as the archetypal posh English gent, The Sherlock actor took out a short advertisement in the Forthcoming Marriages section of The Times to announce the happy news.

The message read: Mr BT. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter: The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cmberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London.' No Instagram selfies or Tweets for this Hollywood star, just an old-fashioned public announcement. In fact, so traditional is Benedict that according to the Mail On Sunday, the Imitation Game actor even flew to Edinburgh to ask his Miss Hunter's mother for her daughter's hand in marriage.

Benedict and Sophie first met in 2009, when they performed opposite one another in Burlesque Fairytales, but have only been dating since the spring. No word as of yet on the date of the wedding, but something tells us we won't be seeing endless photos on social media of the big day. We do love a bit of old school romance...

Topshop Opens Its NYC Flagship With The Help Of Beyoncé, Cara And The Fash Pack

If you thought your Topshop obsession was bad, you'll be reassured in the fact that celebs seem to be just as crazy about the high-street label as the rest of us; as last night proved. For the opening of its brand new flagship store situated on New York's iconic Fifth Avenue shopping district, Topshop threw the most star-studded bash imaginable. Needless to say, it was quite a different sight to the crowd you'd find down at your local shopping centre.

The brand's main man Sir Phillip Green called upon a host of famous pals to help him launch the stores opening and, unsurprisingly, they were all more than happy to oblige. Decked out in Topshop's winter range of clothes, the glittering guest-list made quite the impression as they made their way into the venue with no-one causing more of a stir than Beyoncé... Just hours after being crowned music's highest-earning woman, Beyoncé turned out at Topshop's party rocking a seriously cool sequin dress and black strap heels. Now, she might be a high earner, but even we can afford her body-con frock which is still available on Topshop.com for £68! Though after receiving her fashionable seal of approval, we doubt it'll stay there for long... With her new cropped bob, she looked the coolest we've seen her in a long time. Nice work, Bey.

Another star to set the waiting crowds into a frenzy was model Cara Delevingne who has just been revealed as the face of Topshop's Christmas campaign which we'll be giving you a first-look at when it launches tomorrow morning. Trust us, it's MEGA. Rocking a sexy black dress complete with cut-out strap details to the side, Cara's look was a far cry from the casual get-up we'd seen her in just hours before. Joining the famous duo on the black carpet was Cara's sister Poppy Delevingne who looked beyond-beaut in a cream beaded dress and a statement grey faux fur coat. Oh, and we're totally crushing on her high, glossy ponytail. If only we could achieve that in-between washes.
